Zaki Nassif , Machghara&#;s Moon
Zaki Nassif (Arabic: زكي ناصيف; 4 July – 10 March ) was a Lebanese music composer and singer. He was influential among the first generation of composers for the mass audience for music on radio in Lebanon in the s and s, and continued to be a force in Lebanese music until his death in His compositions continue to be performed in Lebanon today.
Biography
Born in Machghara, the largest town in the western Beqaa Valley in and was involved in music and country folk poetry (zagal, maannaa, &#;ataba, mijana, abu el zuluf, etc.) at an early age. He was one of the Big Five who contributed material to Radio Orient and Radio Liban in the s (among whom were Halim El Roumi, father of Magida El Roumi, and Tawfic al Basha, Phélémone Wehbé, etc.). During the s he did singing performances on multiple primetime television entertainment shows in Lebanon. On his 85th birthday he was interviewed at length in Lebanon by various mass media venues. Despite his popularity, Zaki Nassif remained a man with limited income, as his 60 years in the music industry did not win him a rich living. This is the case with many Lebanese musicians. ألّف مع الأخوين الرحباني وفيلمون وهبي وتوفيق الباشا وصبري الشريف “عصبة الخمسة” وكان هدفها الخروج عن الغناء الشائع، ثم في العام ، وبعد توقف إذاعة الشرق الأدنى، شارك في مهرجانات بعلبك كان له دور هام في الأعوام
استجاب ناصيف لنداء سعيد فريحة مؤسس دار الصياد، وفيها المجلة السياسية "الصياد" والجريدة السياسية، "الانوار"، وفيها أيضًا "الشبكة" التي كانت من أنجح المجلات الفنية، ووافق علــى أن يرعى فرقة الأنوار للفولكلور فنيًّا، وكان سعيد فريحه قد قرّر إنشاءها، وجمع لها حشدًا من المطربات أبرزهن "صباح" ومطربين أبرزهم "وديع الصافي" وملحنين منهم "عفيف رضوان" وغيره.
بعدها كانت مهرجانات بعلبك، ومعها لحن زكي ناصيف لعشرات الأغاني، وقد غنى بعضها، ووزع البعض الآخر لصباح ووديع الصافي ونصري شمس الدين وكثير غيرهم. حققت أغانيه نجاحًا كبيرًا، وكان حاضرًا على الدوام لتشجيع الموهوبين من أصحاب الأصوات الجميلة شباناً وشابات، وتقديم اأاغاني لهم، كما لم يرفض أية دعوة للمشاركة في أي عملٍ فني.
من هنا كانت مشاركته مع فرقته الموسيقية متطوعًا، في احياء ذكرى شهداء مجزرة قانا الذين سقطوا نتيجة اعتداء جوي اسرائيلي، والتي أُقيمت في "مسرح المدينة" بقيادة الفنانة الكبيرة نضال الأشقر، وجريدة "السفير"، وقد شارك في إحيائها مطربون

ولد زكي ناصيف عام () في مشغرة (البقاع الغربي). وعى طفولته متنقلاً بين مشغرة صيفًا، وبيروت شتاءً. فكانت مشغرة بالنسبة إلى موسيقاه فيما بعد بمثابة المنهل الفولكلوري، كما كانت بيروت بالتالي بالنسبة إلى تكوين شخصيته، المجال الرحب لتحصيل العلوم، والنقطة الملائمة للانطلاق. أحب الموسيقى منذ صغره فتعلم الغناء العربي الكلاسيكي من اسطوانات الشيخ سلامة حجازي، والشيخ سيد درويش، وعبد الوهاب وأم كلثوم. وفي مدرسته الأولى مدرسة المخلص البيروتية، حيث أكمل علومه الابتدائية، أمكنه التعرف إلى اللحن البيزنطي بعامل اندماجه في جوقة المدرسة الغنائية التي كان يرتل القداس معها حينًا، وأحيانًا منفردًا. كما تعرّف في محيطه السكني في إحدى ضواحي بيروت إلى الألحان السريانية بحكم جواره لإحدى الكنائس المارونية، حيث كان يرتل القداس الماروني بنجاح. وبعد أن أكمل دروسه عام () انصرف إلى ممارسة هوايته الموسيقية، غناءً وعزفًا على العود حينًا، وأحيانًا في الاستماع إلى الموسيقى الأوروبية التي استهوته بعظمتها فصمّم على دراستها بقصد الاستفادة من قواعدها البنائية لخدمة الموسيقى الشرقية ففي عام () التحق بالمعهد الموسيقي التابع للجامعة الأميركانية في بيروت، حيث ظلّ يدرس الموسيقى الغربية غناءً وعزفًا على البيانو حتى أوائل سني الحرب الكونية الثانية. التحق بإذاعة الش

Zaki Nassif, car il s’agit bien de lui, est un personnage hors pair. Il a marqué notre enfance de ses belles chansons limpides et évocatrices qui font dorénavant partie de notre vie et de la nostalgie du bon vieux temps. Prestige a accueilli le ténor du folklore libanais dans ses locaux à Ain Saadé. Les années ont quand même laissé leurs empreintes sur l’homme.
