Equally at home in concert, recital or on the operatic stage, Monica Yunus is quickly establishing herself as one of America&#;s most promising young sopranos. She has been called &#;especially winning&#; by The New York Times, and commended for her &#;rich and sensuous voice [that] was utterly captivating,&#;
Ms. Yunus has performed on some of the world&#;s greatest stages including The Metropolitan Opera, where she is a frequent presence. Her roles include Norina in Don Pasquale, Adina in L&#;Elisir D&#;Amore, Alice in Le Comte Ory, Pamina in The Magic Flute, Gilda in Rigoletto, Countess in The Marriage of Figaro, Oscar in Un Ballo in Maschera among many others. She can be seen in several Metropolitan Opera HD broadcasts ranging from The Magic Flute to Le Comte Ory to La Rondine.
Her concert and recital performances have taken her all over the world- in countries ranging from Spain, to Bangladesh, Guatemala and Lebanon and in performances with legendary singers such as Plàcido Domingo, José Carreras and Andrea Bocelli.
Ms. Yunus is a graduate of The Juilliard School, and is the Co-Founding Director of the Sing for Hope charitable organization base

A leading voice in the artist as citizen discussion, Soprano Monica Yunus is the Co-Founder of Sing for Hope, a non-profit that brings arts outreach programs to communities in need and presents initiatives that make the arts accessible to all.&#;
Ms. Yunus has performed on some of the world's greatest stages including The Metropolitan Opera. Monica Yunus is the co-founder and co-executive director of Sing for Hope, a nonprofit that transforms lives by bringing the power of the arts to those who need it most. She has also performed with the world’s leading opera companies, including The Metropolitan Opera and Washington National Opera.
Monica Yunus has received a host of honors, including a 21st Century Leaders Award, Congressional Citation, and this year [] was honored as a young global leader by the World Economic Forum.
Monica is the daughter of Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Muhammad Yunus, and during a short residency for her recent role as Lauretta in the Opera Santa Barbara performance of Gianni Schicchi, she spoke with impactmania about the influence of her father, and the impact of music.
