Meaning of El Sucu Tucu by Matias Aguayo

The song "El Sucu Tucu" by Matias Aguayo features repetitive and nonsensical lyrics, which can make it challenging to discern a specific meaning behind the song. However, it is worth analyzing the overall themes and possible interpretations that can be drawn from the lyrics.

The key lyrics of the song, "Sucutucutucutucutucutucutucuu," are repeated throughout the song. These lyrics, lacking any clear meaning, can be seen as a form of onomatopoeia or even a vocalization of a rhythmic pattern. They contribute to the energetic and infectious nature of the song.

It is important to note that "El Sucu Tucu" is largely influenced by Latin American electronic music and the traditional rhythms of cumbia, a musical genre popular in Colombia and other parts of Latin America. The repetition and simplicity of the lyrics may serve as a reflection of the repetitive and hypnotic elements often found in cumbia music.

While "El Sucu Tucu" may not have explicit cultural, historical, or significant references, its rhythmic and infectious nature is reminiscent of a dance-oriented genre. Cumbia music is often associ

El Sucu Tucu” by Matias Aguayo

DV:

Even though his last proper album was back in (with an EP in ‘11), Matias Aguayo’s never really disappeared - he’s had plenty of feature spots and mixes and the like, enough that they should’ve satisfied. But they didn’t, not enough, not after the brilliance of Ay Ay Ay, an album that had a tremendous impact on how I approach electronic music.

“El Sucu Tucu” isn’t the statement that Ay Ay Ay, an album composed (almost?) entirely of vocal samples, was. But it is a song that sounds like Aguayo, which is to say it sounds like pretty much nothing else out there. Bassy synths pulse, drum machines skitter, the nervous energy on display is an intense high. But ultimately “El Sucu Tucu” is a showcase for the instrument Aguayo uses best: his own voice. Because let’s be real - it’s one thing to talk about using a vocal like it’s an instrument, it’s another entirely to pull it off like it’s no thing. Aguayo does, skipping and stuttering and stretching his voice throughout “El Sucu Tu

Matias Aguayo announces The Visitor

Cómeme have announced details of the Chilean-born producer&#;s third album, to be released in June.

Although Aguayo moved to Cologne in the 90s and forged strong ties with Kompakt Records, the producer&#;s unique style has always maintained strong ties with his South American heritage; his solo material, across &#;s Are You Really Lost and &#;s Ay Ay Ay both incorporating exotic, sun-soaked instrumentation, jazzy rhythms and Latin vocal murmurings into their synthetic structures. Although Kompakt has been the main outlet for his solo material, it&#;s an aesthetic he&#;s been cultivating for his own Cómeme label since , releasing records from the likes of Rebolledo, DJs Pareja and Alejandro Paz.

Now Aguayo has revealed details of his third album, his first in four years. Entitled The Visitor, the album was supposedly recorded over a period of five years, spanning locations including Germany, Colombia, Argentina and Mexico, and is influenced by the &#;proto-house, new wave, techno and other indigenous body music styles&#; that he encountered during his travels. It&#;s the first Aguayo album to be
